Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-08-13.

This document is a good-faith draft, written to accurately describe how OneHux Accounts actually operates today. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and should not be treated as a final, lawyer-approved Terms of Service until it has been.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, registering an Application, or otherwise using OneHux Accounts (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of an Organization, you're confirming you have authority to bind that Organization, and "you" refers to that Organization as well as you personally.

2. What the Service is

OneHux Accounts is an identity and access management platform: it authenticates people on behalf of connected Applications via OAuth 2.0 + PKCE, issues short-lived access tokens and OIDC-shaped ID tokens, and provides account management (Roles, Permissions, Memberships, Sessions, an audit log, API keys, webhooks, and — on qualifying plans — SCIM provisioning and custom domains) scoped to your Organization.

3. Accounts & Organizations

You're responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for maintaining control of your account's sign-in methods (password, passkeys, MFA). An Organization's designated Owner(s) are responsible for the Roles and Permissions they grant to other members of that Organization — the Service enforces what you've configured, not what you intended to configure.

You may deactivate or permanently delete your own Organization from its Settings page at any time. Deletion cancels any active paid subscription, revokes every active session tied to that Organization, and is not reversible once completed — you'll be asked to type the Organization's exact name to confirm before it proceeds.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to authenticate access to unlawful activity;
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, bypass authentication, or probe the Service for security vulnerabilities without prior written permission (see Contact for how to report a real vulnerability responsibly instead);
  • Use an API key, webhook endpoint, or SCIM token in a way that exceeds the access it was scoped to grant; or
  • Resell or sublicense the Service itself as a competing identity platform.

5. Plans, billing & cancellation

Paid plans are billed through Paystack on the cycle you select (monthly or annual) at the price shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Cancelling a subscription takes effect immediately — cancellation is processed with Paystack first, and your Organization only moves to the Free plan once that cancellation is confirmed, so you're never charged after a successful cancellation request. Enterprise pricing is negotiated separately and governed by its own agreement, not this cycle.

6. Data & privacy

How we collect, use, and retain data is described in full in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms by reference.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service reliably available but do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime except where a specific written SLA has been agreed (currently only offered on the Enterprise plan). Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where practical.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for an account or Organization that materially violates these Terms, after reasonable notice where practical (immediately, without notice, for active security incidents or unlawful use). You may stop using the Service, and delete your own Organization, at any time as described in Section 3.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, OneHux disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page; continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
